  • Hot Topic Issue: Internet Piracy

    I have received numerous phone calls and letters regarding H.R. 3161, the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the recently introduced Online Protection Enforcement Trade Act (OPEN Act). While the Senate is scheduled to vote on S. 968, the PROTECT IP Act during the week of January 23rd, the House currently has no Floor votes scheduled on these bills. The SOPA bill remains in Committee and language is not final; the OPEN Act will be referred to Committee. For more information regarding the House bills, click on the links below:
